Your question in, a sourced answer out.
Snow One Data is our knowledge base on the winter industry: equipment specifications, dealer and public-bid prices, market structure, the science of snow and de-icers, and the rules that govern the trade, by jurisdiction. Every entry carries its source, its date and its scope. It answers manufacturers, boards and the people who move snow.

For boards and investors
A technical second opinion for the people who sign.
Investment committees, boards and executive teams face winter equipment decisions they cannot evaluate from a specification sheet. Data gives them an independent read: in their language, on their timeline. We work for both makers and buyers, and never on both sides of the same deal.
- Technical & market due diligence
- An independent technical and market assessment of a winter-equipment business or technology before you sign: product portfolio, technology, dealer network, exposure.
- Product portfolio review
- Where a range is strong, where it is duplicated, and where it is quietly losing money.
- Technology assessment
- Whether an emerging technology creates operational value or only a specification line.
- Executive briefings
- A structured read of the industry for people who need the picture in an hour, not a quarter.
- Board-level advisory
- A recurring technical voice for boards without an equipment specialist at the table.
- Strategic missions
- Some decisions are not a dossier or a brief: product positioning, pricing aligned with dealer economics, dealer network and distribution strategy, launch and market entry, sales performance, and expansion between North America and Europe, where the same machine is not wanted on both sides. Snow One runs these as missions.
For contractors and fleet operators
And for the people who move snow.
A written engineering brief on your machine, fleet, salt or bid question, in 48 hours, signed by an engineer. First question free. Contractors, municipalities, DOTs and airports.
One question by email, a written brief in 48 hours, signed by an engineer. The first one is free.
How we work
Found, or calculated. Never guessed.
Every figure in a Data brief is one of two things: Found, with its source and date, or Calculated, with its assumptions listed so you can change them and redo the math. A manufacturer's claim is quoted as a claim, then tested against physics. A price is never quoted without its date. A rule is never quoted without its jurisdiction and its verification date. And when the data does not support an answer, the brief says so and gives you the method instead of a guess.
This runs on Snow One Data, our own knowledge base. You never touch it. You receive what it answers, checked and signed by an engineer.
Confidentiality
Under NDA, always.
Mutual NDA on every engagement. Your fleet, sites, contracts and service reports live in a space that is yours alone; nothing from one client ever informs another.
- Your data stays yours
- Drawings, CAD, bills of material, cost structures, test results and field data remain your property. We hold them for the engagement and return or destroy them at its end, on your instruction.
- No client is ever named
- We publish no case study, no logo and no reference without your written agreement. The work you commission does not become our marketing.
- No carry-over between clients
- We work for several manufacturers in the same industry. What we learn on one engagement never travels to another. Project teams are separated, and we decline work where that separation cannot be guaranteed.
- Anonymity does not expire
- The obligation outlives the engagement. A delivered project, a launched product or a change of supplier does not make your work ours to show. We keep no public client list, and this site names none.
